Holiday Meals
Butchers Block– Whether your holiday dinner tradition includes a roast, prime rib, oysters or you just need some meats and cheeses to snack on throughout the day, Butchers Block on Corolla has you covered! And they also carry locally made Calvino’s Sausage for the sausage lover in your group. Pre-ordering is recommended. They are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. The Deli is open from 12pm – 3pm and the store is open from 10am – 5pm.
Harris Teeter– The Corolla Harris Teeter is offering pre-made dinners for Thanksgiving beginning November 4 through November 25. You can order online through the Harris Teeter App to get your turkey or ham and all of the fixings you desire. Just heat and eat! The store is also open on Thanksgiving Day. Christmas pre-ordering opens December 4 through December 21 and those dinners can be picked up until 8pm on Christmas Eve. If you would rather cook dinner yourself, you can also shop in store for your favorite holiday staples, but keep in mind that Harris Teeter is closed on Christmas Day.
Currituck Barbeque– Do you prefer your turkey fried or roasted? You can have the best of both worlds at Currituck Barbeque because they offer both! Pre-order your take and bake meals beginning October 21- November 18 for pickup on either November 26 from 11am – 8pm or on November 27 from 11am – 7pm. To order, call or email [email protected]. Simply Southern Kitchen– Thanksgiving with a Southern edge is what you will get when you order a dinner to go from Simply Southern Kitchen in Point Harbor. You can preorder your dinner by calling (252) 491-8100 and arrive at your rental to relax and enjoy the holidays with your loved ones.
Frog Island Seafood– Grab your bushels of crabs, seven fishes, clams or any seafood you desire on your way to the beach. Frog Island has delicious and fresh seafood for any seasoned pescatarian. Please keep in mind they are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Outer Banks Boil Company– Enjoy the holidays- Outer Banks Style! There is nothing better than a low-country boil with the perfect amount of seasoning and seafood to appeal to everyone in your group! Outer Banks Boil Company lets you be the chef and choose your own menu for your pot. Corolla Holiday Events
For those of us who prefer to burn some calories before the Thanksgiving Day feast, you can join in the Corolla Thanksgiving Day 5K in Historic Whalehead Park for a fun run to kick the day off.
Christmas Craft Village– Friday, November 29 from 11am- 4pm
Get started on that holiday shopping and shop the local crafts for sale at Historic Whalehead the day after Thanksgiving. There will be many vendors with various wares for purchase and special items featuring your favorite place, Corolla.
The Polar Express– Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14, Showtimes are 3pm and 6:30pm
Don your holiday pajamas and join us at the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education for a special screening of The Polar Express. Reservations are required for this free event.
Corolla Christmas Village– Friday and Saturday Evenings from 5pm- 8pm (November 29- December 28
The signature event of the season is back! The Corolla Christmas Village offers something new each weekend, including music, holiday cheer, various food trucks and the magic of the holiday season all around. Have a stroll around historic Corolla in all of its holiday magic. It’s definitely a highlight of the holiday season.
