The weather is heating up and so is the event lineup for Summer 2024 in Corolla. We know the beach, checking out the wild horses and relaxing in your favorite beach chair are high on the priority list and Visit Currituck has some fun events for everyone in your crew to consider as well.
Cornhole Tournament
Our Cornhole Tournaments are as legendary as our wild horses! Stop by Historic Corolla Park on Wednesdays for an epic battle of beanbags beginning on June 12 through September 11 at 3pm. It’s $20 to enter your team which also gives you the opportunity to win great prizes! Registration is required in advance, so be sure to sign up for the fun!
Corolla Cork & Craft
If beanbags and cornhole boards are not your speed, you are in luck! The famous Corolla Cork & Craft is back again on June 12 beginning at 3pm. Every Wednesday throughout the summer, sip on a delicious glass of local wine, beer, and cocktails while you peruse various crafts and enjoy the sounds from the weekly musical act. This event is free to attend and wine, beer, and cocktails will be available for purchase.
Yoga in the Park
Sunrise, stretching and beginning the day in a zen state makes for a wonderful and relaxing day. Come by for Yoga in the Park at 7:30am on Thursday mornings beginning June 6 for a 60-minute yoga session to start your day off right.
Under the Oaks Arts Festival
One of our most popular events is the Under the Oaks Arts Festival. Under the majestic live oaks, you will find many talented artists and vendors who may be selling your next favorite piece. View a variety of paintings, pottery, sculptures and more as your souvenir to remember the serene shores of Corolla at home. The Festival will be held on June 18-19 from 10am- 5pm both days at Historic Corolla Park.
Independence Day Celebration
Celebrating Independence Day is that much better when it’s celebrated at the beach. Historic Whalehead Park is hosting the biggest fireworks celebration on the Outer Banks on July 4. Live music, food vendors, and activities will be held on site.
